Bumpdate ~ Weeks 10 & 11

Bumpdate: 10 weeks
  • Baby is the size of a : date
  • Weight :  0.14 oz. / Length : 1.22 in.
  • Baby now has all of his/her internal organs and the heart is almost fully developed. The tail is gone! and the webbing on baby's fingers and toes is also gone. Baby's eyes are also moving the side of his/her head, to the front (weird!). Baby's ears are getting their final shape and are getting ready to hear the world. The diaphragm is also developing this week so that baby can make some noise!
Gender: This week I am back to thinking baby is a boy! I have had a couple more baby boy dreams. (I tend to listen to my dreams - somewhat - since I've had a few "predictive" dreams in my life. True story.)

Weight Gain: I'm up a pound this week...9 pounds. I can feel it now!

Pregnancy Symptoms: Same old, same old: nauseous, soreness/aching, no headaches!, exhausted, and an unnatural sense of smell! The all day sickness - the mornings haven't been too bad, but the sick feeling gets progressively worse throughout the day and is almost unbearable at night. The hubs has been helping me try to force down dinner at night.

Clothing: I switched over to using BeBands this week. Ahhh...much better! Still wearing baggier shirts and trying to hide my growing baby bump!

Food Cravings: The same...nothing. I do like spicy foods, although I regret it after I eat them!

Food Aversions: Still can't drink coffee in the mornings. (I did get a Pumpkin Spice Latte (decaf of course) on Sunday afternoon though! YUM!) Raw meat makes me just about throw up, onions all of a sudden started making my eyes water? - that has never happened before! I still don't want sweets or greasy food as well.

Movement: Still nothing...

Sleep: I am still knocked out at night and can't wake up in the mornings! I have taken less naps, but mostly because we are so busy!!

Best Moment So Far: Still our 8 week ultrasound! I keep looking at the pictures and thinking, "This is really and finally happening! We're going to have a baby!!"

Looking Forward to: The same...making it to week 12 with no complications!! AND telling people!!

Bumpdate: 11 weeks
  • Baby is the size of a : strawberry
  • Weight :  0.25 oz. / Length : 1.61 in.
  • Baby is busy moving around this week! Baby will be going through a major growth spurt in the next few weeks. Tiny little fingernails are beginning to form on his/her fingers. Sometime between week 8-12, the placenta will take over caring for the baby. Baby looks more like human with a neck, straighter back, and thicker skin.
Gender: I still think it's a boy (although a little nagging in my head says girl). The Chinese calendar says Baby is a boy though!

Weight Gain: Still 9 pounds.
