Iowa State Basketball

This weekend we headed down to Ames with our good friends Kate and Ryan to go to the Iowa State vs. TCU basketball game. This was Dayton's first basketball game! We left early so that we could have lunch at Hickory Park first, then off to the game we went. Dayton had a lot of fun looking around and watching everything that was going on. We were on the last row of the stands, so it got a little toasty up there and little by little we stripped Dayton down to just his shirt. Dayton was  little squirmy at first, so Kate and I took him on a walk around the arena. I think he did pretty well up overall since he didn't fuss! Iowa State ended up winning 83-66! Whoohoo!

New Year's Eve '14

New Year's was quiet for us this year and we were pretty happy about that. We decided to go out to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. Our little family of three enjoyed Tony's pizza this New Year's Eve. (Yes, our phone pictures are terrible.) After dinner, we put Dayton to bed and the hubs and I enjoyed the rest of the night in our sweatpants on the couch with a beer. We like to party.

Some of these pictures would have been so cute if they hadn't been taken on our phones!

Brunner Family Chirstmas

Christmas time means going home time. Since I get about two weeks off for Winter Break and Brad gets about the same amount of time when Deere shuts down, it's the perfect time for us to take our time and head back home for a spell.

I had to work the Monday and Tuesday of the Christmas week, so we packed up and headed out on Tuesday night. We got in to Greenville Wednesday afternoon. It felt really good to be home! for all of us. We were pretty wiped out Wednesday night, so we unloaded, had a little family time, and went to bed. Thursday morning it was Christmas and time to open presents! As always, the tree was packed. Christmas at the Brunner house is glorious! Nanny, Poppy, and Auntie Jaimie spoiled little man rotten. This little guy is blessed. As always, I took a million pictures. Sifting through them and trying to find my favorites was hard! By the way, this kid has to be the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Merry Christmas y'all!

Oh Christmas Tree

I'm still learning how to use my camera, so this is my sad attempt at taking some Christmas tree photos of Dayton and his first Christmas. They're not all terrible. :)

Family Christmas 2014

I have always loved Christmas. I love the season, the decorations, the holiday spirit, the gifts, and all of the family time. This year was even more special for us because our baby boy is here and we watched him experience his first Christmas. Obviously, he won't remember it, but we will! Watching him look at the tree and Christmas lights, open presents, meet Santa, and experience all of the many other Christmas events was very fulfilling for us. Christmas is just so much more fun with kids!

We celebrated our own family Christmas a few nights before we left for South Carolina. I snapped probably 1,000 pictures. I mean, this kid moves so fast it's hard to get a non-blurry picture of him! but I just loved capturing his first Christmas - mostly for our memory's sake. This baby just melts my heart. I love him to the moon and back! I mean, how precious is he? That smile.
