Sunday Social

So, I have started following several blogs that feature fashion, cooking/baking, decorating, crafting, etc. First of all, it is amazing how many blogs are out there. Second, it's amazing how easy it is to find great recipes, crafts, ideas, etc. on blogs! My eyes have been opened to a whole new world. How fun! (And great, just one more thing to occupy my time...good thing I like working and taking care of my house and hubby!)

I found this on one of the blogs that I follow and thought it was a good idea! I don't know how much I will actually keep this up, but since Brad is out of town and I have all my lesson plans and materials ready for school this week, why not?!? It's a little get to know me/us kind of thing. Each week, questions are posted/asked. Anyone who follows the blog, answers the questions.

1. What do you value most in life?
  • I value my husband and the people close to me most in my life. My husband will always be #1, but my family and my friends are what I value most. You cannot get back time or wish memories into existence. Brad and I both want our families to be the center of our lives (after God). Our time with our family and friends are the best parts of our day!
2. What do you think is the greatest invention in your lifetime and why?
  • Yikes, this is a hard one. I'm going to have to go with the cellphone, but the iPhone in particular. I'm choosing the iPhone because you can get to so many other technologies through it! I have tons of apps for photography, recipes, workouts, music, the Bible, etc. Seriously, I don't know what I'd do without my phone. I'm just a second away from hearing my friends and family with a little phone call!
3. What do you think is the secret to a good life?
  • This answer is two-fold: First and foremost, to have a good life, Brad and I would both say that the "secret" is Jesus. God and His grace are the only way that we can be truly happy in this world. Nothing else will satisfy us. Second, I think both of us would say that giving and serving other people is the secret to having a good life. When you put others first, you automatically put yourself second. Think about it, how good does it feel to watch some one's face when you've done something for them?
4. What would you most like to be remembered for when you're gone?
  •  Hmmm, I think Brad and I both want to be remembered for being a good husband and wife and a good mom and dad. We want our families to think about us and smile.
5. What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
  • Brad and I would both say we are most proud of how hard we worked in school to get the careers that we have. Brad and I both very passionate and absolutely love what we do.
6. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
  • Aw man, I would pick either Kate Hudson (she would need brown hair) OR Sandra Bullock (I just adore her). For Brad, we would pick Mark Wahlberg or Matt Damon. I can almost see the looks similarities for Matt Damon, right?!?
Till next week...
