Our Chirstmas

First, Christmas in the Quad Cities. Next, Christmas in South Carolina. Last, our Christmas. at home. in Iowa. We decided to wait on our Christmas for a few reasons. I was a little bummed about it at first, but I am glad that we waited. It made it a little more special for us and this time, it really felt like Christmas.

This year, we didn't do Elf on the shelf, but we definitely will be next year when Dayton understands what's going on a little more. I can't wait! I have a few more traditions that we plan on starting next year. It'll be so much fun when Dayton understands what's going on and is excited about it! The most we got this year was saying "Santa" about a million times  day (but he only liked pictures or figures of Santa), saying "Ho ho ho," and he loved opening presents. I think next year will be perfect!

Family Christmas 2014

I have always loved Christmas. I love the season, the decorations, the holiday spirit, the gifts, and all of the family time. This year was even more special for us because our baby boy is here and we watched him experience his first Christmas. Obviously, he won't remember it, but we will! Watching him look at the tree and Christmas lights, open presents, meet Santa, and experience all of the many other Christmas events was very fulfilling for us. Christmas is just so much more fun with kids!

We celebrated our own family Christmas a few nights before we left for South Carolina. I snapped probably 1,000 pictures. I mean, this kid moves so fast it's hard to get a non-blurry picture of him! but I just loved capturing his first Christmas - mostly for our memory's sake. This baby just melts my heart. I love him to the moon and back! I mean, how precious is he? That smile.

Bishop Family Christmas 2014

Since we go back home to South Carolina for Christmas, we celebrated the Bishop family Christmas the weekend before Christmas. We all gathered at Grandma and Grandpa Bishop's house and enjoyed good food, family time, and lots of opening presents and gift giving. (Dayton's great) Grandma and Grandpa Rominger were also able to make it to the Bishop Christmas! It was a wonderful way to spend the weekend. Thank you to all of our family who made the weekend special. Here are a few pictures from the Bishop family Christmas!
