Friday Letters ~ 12.6.2013

Dear Friday:
Boy am I glad you are here! It has been one crazy, busy week! Monday-class, Tuesday-church group, Wed-errands, Thurs-Brad's work dinner, Friday- finally! This little lady went to bed at 9 pm last night and is still feeling exhausted! Good thing Friday means tomorrow is Saturday.

Dear Hubby:
I am definitely going to miss you this weekend, but I hope you have a great time hunting!! Bring us home some deer meat babe. I can't wait!! Oh, and me and Baby love you and ask you to stay safe.
P.S. ~ Anyone who knows the hubs, did you ever think you'd see him with a beard (for a month) and wearing camo? I might have "rednecked" him...just a little - and I love it. Hotchacha!

Dear Baby (Lil' Bit):
Next week little one. Next week is when we get to see you again!! We love you so much. You're Daddy and I talk to you every day and tell you how much we love you. Daddy says to keep growing and "eat some protein," so that you will grow big and strong! Daddy's hoping for some football players in the family, but if you're a girl then we bet you'll turn out just like your Momma - athletic and livin' in the gym. But no matter what, you're our precious miracle and we will love you with all of our hearts and souls!
19 week Baby Bump!
Dear 2nd Graders:
You all crack me up and you "fill my bucket" every day with your sweet hugs, your attention and lovin' to the Baby, and your adorable and hilarious notes that you leave on my desk. You make my job fun and I love y'all to pieces!

Dear Weekend:
You are going to be crazy busy, but bring it on. I have a house to deep clean, 2 parties to plan and get ready for (Brad's employee Christmas party -Thursday, and our Gender Reveal Party- Sunday), homework to get done, and a Doctoral graduation to attend. Oh, yoga will also be completed on Saturday morning as well as some stress-relieving workouts. Better keep up Baby!

Happy Friday y'all!

I love you more than I can explain! and I cannot wait to see you again during our ultrasound coming up. I love seeing you grow as my bump gets bigger and I adore feeling you moving around! You are so loved! Hugs and cuddles.

Dear Hubby:
You are going to be the best daddy. You love me just the way I need to be loved and I love watching you love on our baby. You make my heart happy every day. Love you bear.

I am SO glad you are here! There have been waaay too many meetings after school this week. Today I feel awesome though! I woke up feeling so blessed and happy. Friday Letters [V. 11]

Dear All:
HAPPY
 Mine looks like this...
#anotherIowafail

Dear Home/Yard
FINALLY!! We have grass. We have literally been counting the days since November 2012 for our grass to come!! That would be 294 days of waiting for grass. Yep, you read correctly - 294 days. I added them up.
Now that we have our beautiful sod in our yard, we can begin the sprinkler dance. Helllloooo water bill!
Dear Husband:
Happy 10 month Anniversary! We didn't really get to celebrate on Tuesday (other than our love cards), but we will have a nice dinner date tonight! I love you bear!!

Dear Furman University:
Thank you for sending me this letter! I'm excited to finish up this last class (from Iowa, not SC!) as of Aug. 1 and graduate with a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages on August 10th! Woohoo!

Dear LiveFit Trainer:
We're still kicking butt. I decided to slow down dropping weight (since I didn't have too much to lose anyways!) and add a few calories to my diet. We're still training hard and Kate and Ryan are doing awesome! The workouts were great/harder this week! Ab update: still rockin' a 4 pack - almost there! My motivational "quote" for this week. Eat. Train. Sleep. Repeat.

Dear Country Music:
This is what I am loving right now... See you in July (in St. Louis) Blake!!

Happy Friday y'all!

Friday Letters [V. 11]

Happy Friday y'all!

Dear Husband:
I know last week and this week have been craaaaazy busy at work. I am so proud of you for working so hard and being so dedicated to what you do! I also love that we have such a supportive marriage! I hope you like your new shirt and the love notes I've left you! Keep on truckin' on baby! You got this!
P.S.~ Thank you for the sweet love note you left me :)
P.S.S ~ Best DIY project I have ever made!

Dear Iowa:
I have had about enough of your weather. Alright already! Monday: Sunny. Tuesday: Cloudy. Wednesday: Tornadoes and "torrential" thunderstorms. Thursday: Muggy and cloudy. Friday: Thunderstorms and Flash flooding. I mean...really?!? It's summer!!! #SnookieWaaaa

Dear Saturday:
I am excited for you to get here for several reasons: 1) sleeping in, 2) it's #sexylegsSaturday 3) double date Cheat Meal night!, 4) Fro-yo with sprinkles - my life will be complete. The end.

Dear Pups:
I'm sorry the weather has been TERRIBLE. I promise we will take you on a run and/or walk every night when the weather is nice. Poor babies. At least we got to run last night!

Dear Abs:
Oh yea... This makes me happy! This training program is awesome and I am proud of how hard I've worked! I feel no shame in showing off hard work. I train every day, eat clean, and have some serious self-control. Boom. Done. My husband appreciates me taking care of myself too. (Look for a post next week explaining why I train the way I do.)

Dear Southern Pride
Yep, still here!
Amen.

Friday Letters [V. 10]

Dear Friday:
It's Friday. Thank you, thank you, thank you. This week at work...I tell ya...right Sister??
Dear Iowa/Mother Nature:
You are not listening to my pleas for sunshine and warm weather. Let's have a reminder. I. Am. From. The. South. I like warm weather, the sun, specifically 90 degree weather, and the sun. Did I mention I like warm weather? I'm a beach kind of girl, so these clouds and rain and cold days in June are just not going to work for me. Let's fix that, now, shall we? Please and thank you.
Dear LiveFit Trainer:
So far, so good. All of our meals and workouts are on track. I need to weigh tomorrow, but I'm prety sure I've dropped a few pounds! I feel leaner and my pants and shirts have become a little more lose! Thank you cleanse (last week) and training program (this week and the next 11 weeks)!
Dear Neighborhood:
I got all excited on Monday....because of the picture below! One, it was semi-sunny, but two, the guys were out back tearing up our yard, grading it, and putting down top soil. Does this mean we get grass soon??? The fence guy also gave us our estimate and will finalize with us on Saturday. Is this actually happening? Yes!! I can't wait for our grass and a fenced in YARD for us and our pups!

Dear Husband:
One, I will never get tired of calling husband. Mine all mine! Two, thank you for being a man that loves Jesus and wants to pursue me and our relationship with each other and with God each and every day. You are my rock and I would not make it in this life without you. Thank you for being a godly example to me and to others. You are my favorite human. I love that you're reading this :)

Dear Self:
God is God...and God is always good. Remember this...always.

Dear Family (in SC):
I miss you so very much. I love you and think about you all the time! Just wanted you to know :)

Happy Friday y'all!

Friday Letters [V. 9]

Dear Matt:
Happy Golden (31 on the 31st) Birthday! Brad and I both wish you a wonderful birthday today and we can't wait to celebrate with you this weekend!!

Dear Little Sister Jaimie and Brother AJ:
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so excited for you!! For everyone else, my little sister Jaimie and her husband AJ just bought their "First House" last night! They are building a house, so they actually bought a lot with the house plans;) buuut the house will be done by the end of September-beginning of October.
So exciting!! We can't wait to see it guys!! Congrats!

Dear School Year and Last Day of School:
Today is the Last Day of School. This day is always a mix of emotions for me. I'm definitely excited for summer break and happy that another successful school year has gone by....*but* I tear up and get so emotional saying goodbye to all of my students! I get so attached to my little ones and every year they become a big part of my heart. Each and every one of them become "my kids". Each year I'm saying goodbye to the little people that I've spent every day with, "my kids" that I've watched grow into little people, and "my kids" that I have taught and helped them learn not only academically, but also helped them learn how to be good people and responsible citizens. I am so proud of each and every one of them. I will miss them so very much! Especially my 2 Russian students in Kindergarten...I will miss hearing "Meesus Beeshup!" every day and getting hugs and smiles from them! Bye my babies!! *tears*

Dear Weekend
I plan to fully enjoy you and rest up, since next week will start..TRAINING!
(see below)

Dear Self, Husband, Ryan, and Kate:
I hope we are all ready for this! Monday starts Week 1, Day 1 of Jamie Eason's LiveFit Trainer. I am SO excited!! I've been wanting to do this so bad and I have finally convinced my husband and recruited Kate and Ryan to join us! Jamie Eason is my role model when it comes to health, nutrition, and fitness. She. Is. Amazing. and so beautiful inside and out!
Basically, all 4 of us will be on a very strict/intense, clean eating diet and weight lifting/cardio schedule for 12 weeks. That will be June-August for us! There are 3 phases of the program and I am fully planning on being totally shredded by the end of the program! Challenge accepted. Extra hot body...here we come!

Dear Iowa:
Enough already...man! First it's a long winter, then there's snow in May...and now it's flooding because there is so much freaking rain!! Ugh! Where did we move to?!? Ok, so it's definitely annoying, but we *do* like living here. Our town is adorable and we love our house and the friends that we have made here! But seriously, it's June - tomorrow - so let's get on with summer...shall we? Please and Thank You.

Dear Hubby:
I love that 1) you are so handsome and mine all mine, but 2) that you are a grill-master! Now that we can actually be outside (because it's not negative degrees or when it's not raining), we can actually use the grill and enjoy our deck and new deck furniture every night! I love it!! Thank you for being you and knowing how to grill like a champ. Love you!!

TGIF y'all! Happy Friday!!

Friday Letters [V. 8]

Dear Blog, Friends, and Family:
I have discovered a fantastic sight for Reality TV GIFs. I'm sorry, but they are FUNNY!! Aaaand I may have a slight addiction to making fun of/some times watching Reality TV. Hey, you can't stop watching a train wreck ~ isn't that how the saying goes?? So, I will be adding a few today for, well, mostly my enjoyment!

Dear Friday:
I am very happy that you are here! We have some good stuff going on this weekend!! Besides, when you get here, that means I have at least 2 full days of spending quality time with my hubby! It's been a pretty "good news" week, so let's keep this good stuff coming!

 Dear Prom:
Brad and I have been taking dance lessons since March now. We have taken Swing and we are finishing up "Rock Sway" now. We're actually getting pretty good! Our dance teacher holds dances for her students (and others) at a ballroom in Waterloo every month. We went to one in April. It was fun, but we were by FAR the youngest people there! At least we got to practice!! Well, this month is May and that means it's PROM! Every May, our dance teacher has a "Prom" for all of us! She's been teaching for over 20 years, so she has tons of students. Prom means we get to wear gorgeous Prom dresses, do our hair and makeup all fancy, get flowers, and dance the night away just like in high school! Only this time, we're with our handsome hubbies, we get to drink at prom, we actually know some good partner dancing,
AND we get to go home with our dates! ;)
Best. Idea. Ever.
Heeeeey!

Dear Saturday:
I am also pretty excited for you as well! Tomorrow morning, I will be standing at the starting line at George Wyth State Park, with my good friend Tami ready to start the MUD RUN!! I've always wanted to do one, so here we go! At 9 am, we will start our race and get super muddy! I bought crap clothes that I don't mind getting all messed up. Shorts, sports bra, and tennis. The end. Mud Run!! Pictures to come!

Dear Pups (i.e. Babies):
Mommy is so proud of you!! You are doing such a good job of training to run with us! Now that the weather is nice, we can guarantee you at least 4 runs per week when we get home from work. AND when Mom runs in the morning, at least one of you will get to go then too! We will all be so lean this summer with all of our running. Our handsome/pretty dogs!

Dear Sunday:
We are very much looking forward to having a relaxing Sunday. It is the day of rest after all ~ and that's in the Bible. We'll start out with worshiping Jesus at our awesome church at 9 am, relax at home, do a few home improvement projects, and then kick some butt at our volleyball game at 4 pm. After celebrating our win, we will have to continue Sunday traditions with a movie and grilled chicken quesadillas. Yummo!

Dear Husband:
I love you. You're the bestest in the whole world.

Dear Teacher Friends:
I saw this today, randomly...and thought it was actually pretty cute! It definitely gives you a glimpse into a teacher of young children. :) That would be me!
I don't quite agree with eeeeeverything, but it's pretty close!

Happy Weekend!!!

Friday Letters [V. 7]

Dear Friday:
Oh. My. Stars! This week has flown by. Along with the pressure of having everything done before we leave for vacation (laundry, clean house, dog sitter prep, dishes, packing, etc), tons of stuff has had to be done for class, school, and work! What a busy, no sleep week. I am glad you are her Friday. Thank you...*sigh*
Dear Class:
I'm still kicking butt and taking names, but really...do 3 papers and a project have to be done 2 days after I get back??? At least you're the last class for this term! Speaking of...I have some homework I have to turn in before we leave!
Dear John Deere:
Thank you for being such an amazing company that supports United Way in the ways that you do. United Way has always been a charity that my husband and I have given to, even before we met. Thank you for being a role model company that supports our community AND even gives my husband the opportunity to take his entire team - on a work day -  to Habitat for Humanity. You. Are. Awesome.
Dear Pups:
I teared up last night thinking of leaving you for 10 days. Mommy loves you!
Dear Brit: Take care of our babies :) and have fun!!

Dear Iowa:
Seriously...I mean seriously. Thank the stars I am leaving you for 10 days! Booo... Does anyone else notice the SNOW flakes today??? IT'S APRIL!!!

Dear Melissa:
I heart you so much! I can't wait to celebrate your wedding with you!
YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED!!! (IN HAWAII!!!) See you right on that beach soon!!
