Reading...the Sookie Stackhouse, Southern Vampire Mystery series. I am on book 8 of 12. I have been reading these books since about mid-September? They are pretty good if you like vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings. The books are definitely page turners, although at this point I'm ready to be done with the series. The TV show, "True Blood," is based off of the books. I tried watching it, but it was just waaaay too much swearing, sex, and gore for me - gag. They definitely *twisted* the books to make a scandalous TV show. Blah.
Thinking About...moving into our NEW HOUSE! Ahhhh! I cannot wait to get out of rentals and into our home. It feels like we haven't actually moved yet, this is not our city yet, and home is still in Greenville. I think once we get into our house, we will feel settled. I'm also thinking about unpacking the current garage full of boxes and sorting everything and organizing them the way we want them into our new house! Woohoo!
Loving...the DIY t-shirt knotted headbands! I have made a total of 5 now. I know, I'm slightly obsessed! I have made the following colors of headbands: yellow, light brown, grey, purple and orange (Clemson), and red and yellow (Iowa State). They are so easy to make and so cute! When I made the grey one, I changed it just slightly and made my own version.
Looking Forward to...my HUSBAND coming home!! Brad has been in China since Sunday! He will be home on our time Friday afternoon! I am so excited to have him back home. It's no fun here when he is gone. Although I am perfectly capable of entertaining myself (i.e. all the DIY'ing this week) while he is gone, I will be very happy to have the hubs home!! Get home baby!
Wondering...how I'm going to survive this winter! I like the sun and the warmth it provides. I was born in Colorado, but only remember being bundled up and playing in the snow. I don't really remember what blizzards were like. We moved to SC when I was young, so that is all I know! I love snow...when I'm looking at it from the window, with me inside, and the fireplace nice and toasty. I don't like the cold. I don't like ice. I have never driven in snow. I'm in for a rude Iowa awakening!!
Eating...my home made chicken salad! That's what I made for my lunches this week! I love chicken salad and I love eating it for lunch. It's light, clean, and quick to get together. I have been eating my daily apple along with it as well as some red pepper hummus and wheat crackers (just a few of those). Overall, a good clean meal for lunch time.
Disliking...the rain. I know, I know...we need it. Seriously though, it's gross. The sun has not shown for 4 days now. I need to see it. The "winter depression" may already be setting in. Plus when it rains, it's not "cool," it's just humid and terrible. That will be the end of my complaining.
Happy About...being married. I know we have only been married for a mere 2 1/2 months, but I love it. I feel like I am finally able to be complete. I love being a wife. I love "running" our household. I love cooking and preparing meals for my husband. I love decorating and making our home a "home." I love going to bed every night cuddled up in my husbands arms and waking up in the same spot. I love everything about being married to the most wonderful man in the world!
