Living "Situations" hehe
Many in our family have heard...and laughed...and enjoyed...and shaken their heads at our living situations. For those family members who have not heard all the awesome details, here you go.
April: Brand and I found out "officially" that we would be moving to Iowa and Brad had to be there asap. During the interview process at John Deere, Brad went on a community tour with a very kind lady. She ended up giving Brad the names of 4 ladies in our town that rented out rooms month-to-month for new hires or transfers at JD. Brad ended up renting a room from one of these ladies. We will call her D. She was so incredibly sweet. She eventually became like a second mom to the both of us.
June: I visited Brad for 2 weeks in June and stayed in his "room" with him, met D, and also adopted her as another mom.
July: Brad kept renting this room and in the meantime was searching everywhere for a different place for us to live for when I moved up...in 4 weeks. July is also the month we officially "bought" our new house (the one we are building). This meant that we needed to find a place to rent/live for 3 and 1/2 months. Our house will be ready by November 16th.
August: I moved to Iowa on August 2nd. Unfortunately, we had not found anywhere for us to live...so we lived in our little rented room in a house with D. Oh yea, I forgot to mention. Our room wasn't in the basement...it was across the hall from D. All four of us (D, Brad, me, and Belle) lived together for 2 weeks and then it was wedding time.
As we were driving down to the wedding, we got a message from one of our friends here in CF. She told us that she had some friends who were living/working in London for 6 months, but had a condo that they would like to rent out until December. Um...YES!! We got all of the details worked out and moved in the Saturday that we got back from our MiniMoon!
The condo is a split-level. We are renting the bottom half and the kitchen is shared (although, no one is here so it's ALL MINE!!!). That gives us a kitchen, a basement living room, bathroom, and a bedroom. We. Are. So. Happy!! Ah...free to be Newlyweds :)
