Anyone know how to stop the clock? Don't get me wrong, I love that my little man is growing and changing and becoming more animated. It's precious. However, I don't want my little man to get too big too fast. I adore the newborn stage and at this point, he's pretty much out of it. Bless.
Nursing is going well for me still as well. I've been able to work out, adjust my diet, and I am still able to produce enough milk for each of his feedings as well as pump 2-3 6 oz. bags for storage. I cannot express how thankful I am that nursing is going so well.
Sleeping: Dayton's schedule gives him 60-90 minutes of nap time after each feeding. Instead of letting him fall asleep anywhere (which he easily does), I have been putting him in his crib to take his naps. Dayton has been sleeping 5-6 hours at night and then waking up to eat. Hopefully, he will be sleeping through the night soon!
Size: Our little boy has no problem growing! This week...12 lb. 4 oz! He's still wearing size 0-3 months, but we have moved up to size 2 diapers. His little legs aren't little anymore! He's getting some precious little rolls on him! His belly is getting pretty round as well. Who doesn't love a Buddha belly?
Development: This week Dayton wants to sit up. He will still lay down on his boppy, but he prefers to sit up so that he can look around. He is looking at us, cooing, smiling (a few times), holding his head up for an extended period, and tracking objects. His little legs kick all over the place and he's getting pretty strong! He is really starting to grab onto objects, pull, and hold on.
Temperament: My little bug is a happy baby. He's just content to look around most of the time!
Likes: Dayton likes his swing, talking to Mommy, "working out" with Daddy, sitting up, eating and sleeping, and his car seat.
Dislikes: Poopy diapers and having his arms swaddled down by his side.
Small Moments: This week I have to appreciate and laugh at the fact that my little boy likes to hold up his middle finger. Constantly. More to come on this. It never gets old!
Mommy: I am doing really well, I think. I'm getting enough sleep, working out, eating clean, and nursing is going better than I ever expected. I am still going to the gym anywhere around 3-4:30 am after Dayton wakes up to eat. I have lost a total of 5 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks and I continually feel like my body is getting stronger and my previous figure is coming back. Now...those last 15 pounds...
