Baby Shower #3 ~ Friends

Baby Shower #3 ~ We sure are lucky! We have made some amazing friends here in Iowa and I couldn't be any more happy to have them. My friend Amanda (who happens to be a fellow southerner- from NC- love her!) asked a while back if she could throw me a baby shower up here for my friends. I loved the idea! We've had my family's shower back in SC and Brad's family's shower in the Quad Cities, so it worked out great to have a "friends" shower here in CF. The shower was at Amanda's house and my friends Kate and Tami helped host. They are the sweetest.

We had the shower on Saturday morning from 10am-12 pm. Amanda made some delicious brunch foods - cinnamon roll bread, blueberry muffins, breakfast casserole, and fresh fruit. She warned me upon entering the door that the only healthy thing we would be having is the fruit! Once everyone had arrived, Amanda introduced herself and ushered us to get some food. They made me go first. No complaints here! and yes, I enjoyed all of the unhealthy yumminess. After eating and chatting, we played a Nursery Rhyme game (which I failed miserably at), and while I opened gifts the rest of the ladies played Baby Gift Bingo! The girls planned some cute prizes for the winners of the games.

Overall, it was a great shower. I had such a fun time and it was so nice to celebrate Baby D with my friends (even my BFF Melissa made it down from Rochester!!), neighbors, and family (Momma B and Sister Beth drove down). Thanks to Amanda, Kate, and Tami another successful and wonderful shower has taken place. Thank you SO much ladies!! Now, we just need to find out what gender Amanda's baby is so we can throw her a shower as well!
