Bumpdate ~ Week 12

Well, it's official. The news is out. We're having Baby Bishop #2 in July 2016!

This week was a lot of fun. We had our 12 week appointment, we both announced that we were pregnant at work, and then announced to the rest of the world via social media. Telling people our good news is always the fun part. Now that the word is out, I can let this belly go! Hello maternity clothes and bumpdates. Here we go...
______________________________________________________

Week 12
  • Baby is the size of a : plum
  • Weight :  0.49 lb.  |  length:  2.13 oz
  • Baby's muscular system and nervous system are responding to each other and baby is able to bend, stretch, kick, and even make faces. All of baby's oxygen is coming from the placenta. Baby's liver and spleen are starting to produce blood cells and the pancreas is beginning to release digestive enzymes.

Gender: no idea

Weight Gain: According to the scale at the Dr.'s office this week...7 pounds.

How I Feel: I've been feeling pretty good. This week has actually been a little better than the others. Of course that makes me a little nervous, but maybe this morning sickness thing will be over soon? I'm definitely still tired and have been ready for bed by 8 pm on the dot.
  • Stretch marks: none
  • Belly button: in
  • Other: not too much else
How Daddy's Feeling: Excited. Daddy is already talking about moving rooms to start getting the new baby room ready.

Cravings: cucumbers and my standard, chips and salsa

Food Aversions: dinner, although it was a little better this week

Movement: nothing that I can feel

Sleep: sleeping hard and wishing for more

Best Moment This Week: Getting to tell everyone that we are pregnant. It was so much fun and I'm so glad the news is finally out!

Worst Moment This Week: I can't really think of one...

Looking Forward to: I'm always looking forward to our next appointment.

What I Miss: Nothing. I am loving every second of being pregnant and that is the honest truth.

Diet: Clean eating 80/20. I've been much better this pregnancy than I was with the first. I've been able to manage the nausea and eat healthy.

Exercise: I'm going to the gym about 4-5 days a week. I am still lifting the same amount of weights and running intervals. So far, working out in the morning has worked the best, but every now and then I do work out after work.

What's Happening This Week: Monday was the day that we announced our news at work and it was our first Bachelor night! I host the girls/Bachelor/wine night at our house each Monday. Our 12 week appointment was on Tuesday. Brad didn't come since it was a routine check up. I had a great appointment with my mid-wife, Kim. Love her. Tuesday is our small group night as well. This week was extra fun because we were able to announce our news to the "world!"
