Rice Ceareal!

My baby is 4 months old. How did the time fly by so fast?? He is sweeter than ever and his little personality is showing more and more each day. That little boy melts my heart!

At his 4 month appointment, our Doctor told us that 4 months was a great time to start rice cereal since Dayton was showing the "signs" (i.e. drooling, taking interest in our food, drinking over 25 oz. per day, etc.). We were excited for this new milestone, but I was a smidge sad at the same time. This was just another thing that told me how fast he was growing! But really, this was exciting - a new, fun thing to experience! As a parent, all the "firsts" are fun.

I had gone shopping for the needed items - bowels, spoons, and rice cereal. We use breast milk in the cereal only. If anyone cares, the kind of rice cereal we use is Earth's Best Organic Whole Grain Rice Cereal. So far, we have really liked it and Dayton gobbles it up! It is GMO and GEI free, which makes this mama happy.

When we put the spoon up to Dayton's mouth, he started eating like he had been doing it for months. I was surprised! and his daycare provider was pretty impressed on Monday too. This little boy loves to eat! Confession...yes, that is a plastic spoon. Mama brain has struck again. I forgot to buy spoons. Duh. Don't worry, the problem has since been resolved! He seriously attacks the spoon. So funny!!
