Oh Little Man, this is my last week at home with you before I return to work. I am trying my best to soak up every little bit of time with you. Your sweet smiles make it fun to get out of bed, even when I am sleepy. We have a game we play every morning - when I hear you on the monitor I go to your room, open the door and say, "Is Mama's baby in here?" then you answer with your little goos, das, and aaaahs. By the time I get to your crib, you are smiling from ear to ear. This is what we do every morning and I love it.
17 Weeks: This week we finished our visit in South Carolina. We spent time with Nanny and Poppy, visited mama's best friends, showed you off to lots of people, and took you to all of our favorite places. You are such an easy baby! You also got to meet mama's best friends, Beth and Hamilton. They were so impressed with how calm you are and how easily you fell asleep. I wish you could see mama's friends more often. We drove back home on Sunday and you did great in the car. We drove for 14 hours to Grandma Bishop's house. Good job baby boy. You are awesome.
On Monday and Tuesday, you had Daddy all to yourself and let me tell you, he did a great job with you! Mama went on a girl's trip to Minneapolis with her friends. Mama left Monday morning and came back Tuesday night. I missed you so much!! but you and Daddy got to have some "man time" as he calls it.
Activity: You are just a happy little guy. Pretty much everybody comments on how content you are. You're happy playing on your play yard, in some one's arms, looking around, or sitting in your car seat. You're just a sweet little guy. You're also great on smiling on cue! Some ladies in Charleston were saying how cute you were and you just started grinning from ear to ear at them - like you knew. Funny!
