Charleston Day 2 turned out to be even better than Day 1. We woke up around 7:30 am (when Dayton woke up), ate breakfast at the oceanfront hotel restaurant (best breakfast burritos ever), and then went out to the beach. It was perfect weather. It was warm, but there was a nice breeze. We laid out our towels near the pier so that we could lay Dayton in the shade. We put his toes in the sand again and today he was much more willing to squish his toes around. Silly baby. He took a nap on the beach and then when he woke up, we snapped a few family pictures.

After we cleaned up and packed up, we drove to downtown Charleston for a horse and carriage tour of the historic district. We were able to see Rainbow row, the battery, and tons of old houses that hold great amounts of history. Dayton didn't make a peep the entire time. He just sat on our laps and looked around! Some older ladies behind us even said (at the end of the ride), "Oh! I didn't know there was a baby on the carriage." See...easy going little man.It was warm, but the carriage was shaded and their was a nice breeze blowing through the city. After the carriage ride, we grabbed lunch at Hyman's. Hyman's might be one of my favorite places to eat. So so good! After the carriage ride, we walked down to the Navy Pier. It was such a nice day and the scenery was gorgeous!
I'm so glad that we were able to go to Charleston with my parents. We had such a great time and made so many new memories with Nanny and Poppy. Thanks for coming with is Mom and Dad! Love you both!!
