When I started out these posts, I was telling everyone else (and my future self) about Dayton. After thinking about it, I've decided to write these posts to him. Why? because I'm planning to put them all in a photo book. Someday, he'll get a copy of the photo book to go along with his Baby book. So...

Oh baby, I can't tell you how much we love you. Our lives have changed since you've come, but everything has been for the better. You make me a better person already. Every day that I wake up, I can't wait to get you out of your crib. Your little face and smile make my day.
Every day that goes by, I think, "I love this stage." I loved when you were teeny tiny and I loved watching you grow and change. Now that you've become more interactive with us, I love this stage! Your daddy loves it too. You should see him make faces at you and play with you. He loves making you smile and "laugh". You have such a good daddy. He really gets a kick out of showing you how to move your eyebrows too. The trait will always be "your thing". The first time I saw you moving your eyebrows around, I saw your daddy. It was weird, but so cute all at the same time. You two make the same exact faces. You're definitely your daddy's son! However, I love seeing me in you too. I see me in your eyes. And as a bonus, you got my skin color! Lucky you. Daddy is a little jealous.
I try not to brag about you too much, but you're such a good baby! and we're so proud of you. You sleep well, eat well, and are just a happy little guy. I hope the rest of your siblings will take it easy on us as well. We think you're pretty great and pretty much the cutest baby we have ever seen. I know, we're biased but you are adorable! Your little head is perfectly round, your skin is soft and clear, you look like you have a tan, and your fat rolls are in all of the right places. You melt my heart every single day. We love you Dayton, to the moon and back!
Size: 15 lb. 11 oz.
Hair: Dark brown -little baby hairs are starting to pop up all over. Your head is finally getting some hair back! Most of your new hair is growing on the top of your head. Maybe you won't look so bald soon!
Eyes: Dark brown, just like your daddy.
Teeth: None.
Food: You are still eating well. You eat about 5 ounces each feeding throughout the day from what I can tell. Your little body is like clock work - 6 am, 9 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, 6 pm, and 9 pm. Daddy still gives you a pumped bottle at night. You have done so well with nursing, which makes mama so happy!
Sleep: You are such a good sleeper baby. We usually put you down to bed around 9:15ish and you have been sleeping through the night until about 6 am. Thank you! Your naps are about 1 - 1 1/2 hours each during the day. You still like to sleep after you eat. You are less sleepy during the day and most of the time, put yourself to sleep.
Clothes: Just this week, I have started putting the 3/6 month clothes on you. You sure are growing! A few of your 0-3 month clothes still fit, so I am enjoying your new wardrobe.
Words: None. Just a lot of "goo"ing and "gaa"ing. It's the sweetest sound.
Development/Activity: You are still working on lifting your head up and holding it up. Tummy time doesn't last as long as it used to because you get frustrated faster, but you're holding your head up much better than you did before! You do love to "stand up" and when we do hold you up, you jump and bounce all over the place. Sometimes it even looks like you're trying to dance. You make daddy laugh so hard when you do that. Lately, you've been holding onto my fingers and will pull yourself up into a standing position. You surprise us sometimes with how strong you are!
Temperament: You are still a happy baby. You like to lay on your play mat and smile, laugh, kick, and hit at the the toys. I love watching you. When someone holds you, you are active but are so content. The only time you fuss is when you are hungry or sleepy.Other than that, you are such a great baby!
Likes: You like to stand up with the help of mama or daddy or even the saucer. You love to sit up in your bumbo or in the high chair. You always prefer to be propped up so that you can see everything that is going on around you. You like going for walks/runs with mama and daddy, putting your hands in your mouth, holding mama's hand when you eat, making faces at daddy, moving your eyebrows all over the place, and watching lights. Recently, you've decided that you like to read your black and white books.
Dislikes: You're pretty easy. You don't like being hungry or sleepy. Sometimes, you don't like laying down flat, but if you have something to look at then you seem to entertain yourself!
Small Moments: Your faces. It has been so much fun to watch your facial expressions recently. You move your eyebrows just like your daddy. It's kind of creepy and so funny all at the same time. The way you move your eyebrows to match your facial expression is one of the first things that people notice. It really cracks us up when you raise your eyebrows so high when you open your eyes wide. I love it. You even do the, one eyebrow up look that your daddy does. I've been trying so hard to catch it on camera! but it comes and goes pretty fast. You silly little mini-daddy.
Month to month...
Weeks 1-13... He's growing so fast!
