Thankful

It's Thanksgiving Week. That means ~ Family. Food. No School. Home. Blessings. Thankfulness. Turkey. Stuffing. Pumpkin Pie. and the list goes on and on.

Obviously, there's an endless list of things that I could write about for what I am Thankful for, but I wanted to write about some of the things that came to mind right away.

I am Thankful for...

My Husband
~ ** Spoiler Alert : Mushy post **  God sure knew what He was doing when He brought me and Brad together. Both of us say this all of the time, but I'm saying it now...I could not do this life without that man. He's my one, my only, my best friend, my partner, my one true love, my soul mate, and the only man I could ever belong to. God blessed my life when he brought my husband into it. We've been through so much together all ready and every time God brings a new trial/event/blessing into our lives, we have each other to walk through it together. He completes me.

 Our Baby
~ We prayed for so long for this baby. Every time I think about the miracle of this little one growing in my tummy, it about brings me to tears. God has blessed us so much this year and we can only give all the glory and thanks to Him. Brad and I thank God every day for giving us this blessing and we can't wait to meet our little pumpkin!! We love you Baby and we pray for you every day.

Our Family
~ And by "Our Family," I mean both of our families - the Bishop side and the Brunner side. I love them both so much. I used to see my family every Sunday and more. Sunday lunch after church will never be the same! I'm not going to lie, it's really hard to be so far away from my family, and the only thing that makes it better is that my other Family (the Bishops) are so close by. I hit the in-law jackpot. Seriously, I love them - Momma B, Dad, Brothers, Sisters, Niece, Nephew -love. We are so thankful to our parents for raising us in a home that loves Jesus and fosters good family values. We love all y'all!

Our Church and Small Group
~ The hubs and I grew up in church, so when we met we knew religion and churches were a big deal for each of us. After we had been dating for a while, we found and joined a church in Greenville. Then a few months later, we decided to move. When we visited Cedar Falls, we were happy to see how many churches were here. After we moved we visited a few churches, but then were told about Prairie Lakes. We went and after we left we both knew we had found "home." After attending for a few months, we joined and then a few months later we joined a Small Group. That small group is one of the best things that has happened to us since moving to CF. Our Small group is made up of 6 couples who are all around our age and in various stages of no kids to 2 kids with one on the way! They are such a blessings and we love spending Tuesday nights with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Our Home in Cedar falls and our Careers
~ Moving was a big step for us...especially for me. I swore up and down that I would never leave Greenville. We took a leap of faith and now that we're here, I am so thankful that we moved. Do I miss the south? Ab-so-lut-ely! buuut we have a beautiful home here that we built, we love our jobs here, our careers are moving along, and we are starting our family here! We are incredibly blessed! We were a little worried about raising a family in Greenville, so this move was actually really good for us. We are both from smaller towns, so we like the small town feel for raising a family. We are so thankful for an adorable town, good schools, family-filled neighborhood, and amazing friends!
