Bumpdate ~ Week 22

Week 22- Second Trimester
  • Baby is the size of a : papaya
  • Weight : 15.17 oz.  |  length: 10.94 in.
  • Baby is almost a pound now! Baby is moving on purpose now to prepare himself for movement after birth. Even though baby has hair on his head, it will be white for a while since the pigment has not developed. Baby's skin is wrinkled and is a pinkish-red color. Baby's brain is now going through a period of rapid growth and development.


Gender: BOY!

Weight Gain: 14 pounds - thanks southern food!

How I Feel: 
  • Stretch marks: none, whew
  • Belly button: a little part has popped
  • Other: Still feeling great, although this belly is really popping. Getting a little harder to get up and down off of the floor. I also have a little heater in my stomach, just like Dayton. I'm definitely getting hotter now more than I was before. 
Cravings: fresh salads, I can't get enough of them

Food Aversions: the same

Movement: It's so much fun to feel baby move more and more each week. I love the little man has movement patterns, but I do feel him randomly throughout the day now too.

Sleep: sleeping great, but at night I get very hot

Best Moment This Week: being pregnant. I know that sounds silly, but every time I look down at my belly, feel him move, or feel uncomfortable I can't help but stop and thank God for this gift. I love being pregnant and just the thought of the infertility we went through can still put me into tears. I can't tell you how much getting another chance means to me.

Looking Forward to: some weekends at home! I have lots of planning to do. Have I mentioned that my "baby" is going to be two years old soon???

What I Miss: walking up the stairs and not getting out of breath ha!

Diet: clean eating and I'm being pretty strict about it too. The hubs and I are eating lean and clean the next few weeks to try and "catch up" for all of the cheat meals we had in Greenville. Don't get me wrong, I loved every bite of each cheat meal, but I just don't feel myself when I'm not eating clean.

Exercise: back to working out 6 days a week!

What's Happening This Week: This week is spring break!!
