Baby Shower: Matt & Karen Bishop

First of all...

CONGRATULATIONS MATT and KAREN!!!

We are more than ecstatic that Matt and Karen are going to have a baby!! Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love me some babies! Right now, the Bishop Family has 2 babies and soon we will have 3! Woohoo!

This past weekend, I co-hosted Matt and Karen's baby shower with Sister Beth and Cousin Sarah. The 3 of us ladies had this shower planned to the last little detail. The whole Bishop family gathered at Teri and Jerry's house (Momma Bishop's time to show off the new house). We realized about half way through, that this was the first time we had ALL been together in quite some time! It was wonderful to spend some much needed family time together and celebrate the miracle of this new little baby boy. We are so happy and excited for Matt and Karen!! and I cannot wait to meet this precious little baby!! Hurry up little guy and get here!

First, we started with quite the spread of deliciousness: chicken salad, sandwiches, veggie tray, chips and dip, cheese ball and crackers, sugar cookies in the shapes of rattles and giraffes, fruit pizza cups, cupcakes, and yellow punch! We all ate and enjoyed time together.

Then it was time for some advice and a game! Sarah had created an "Advice Book" that she had seen on a blog. We all wrote down advice for Matt and Karen and Sarah added it to the book. Then we played, "Name that (Baby) Tune." We had 15 songs to guess the Title and the Artist for a total of 15 points. Sarah tried to pick songs from all different eras and genres, so that everyone could be involved. Sister Beth won the game with 17 points! (Brad and I got 15 points.)

We finished up opening presents and photos. It was fun to see all of the things that Matt and Karen received. Matt and Karen can make anything entertaining! It was a lot of fun and I'm confident to say, we all had a good time!

Here are some pictures from the shower! Matt and Karen's colors for the baby room are yellow and gray!

The Whole Family

Decorations: I found the balloons at Party City. Don't you love the polka dots? I made the banner from scrapbook paper that I found at Hobby Lobby. I strung them all together with white ribbon. I also found the crepe paper at Party City and decorated the bar and tables with that. Beth and Teri had gray table clothes, so that worked out great!
