Happy Halloween!

October 31st always brings me a mixture of emotions. I absolutely LOVE Halloween, buuuut at the same time, I hate for October to be over! I mean, tomorrow is November?!? Yikes!

I love everything about Halloween. I love the traditions, the pumpkins, the costumes, the candy, the decorations, and so much more! It is especially fun being a teacher with little kiddos this time of year. We read spooky stories, trick-or-treat in our room, watch Halloween movies, play Halloween games, and have a party! How could you not love that?

Since Brad and I are getting a little older, we (and by "we" I mean, "I") have toned down the Halloween celebrations. Yes, my friends, the "sexy" costumes have been retired...since 2010. Last year, we stayed at home, carved a pumpkin, and gave candy to the little people in our neighborhood. That's another aspect of Halloween that I love - all the kiddos dressed up! They are too stinkin' cute! Last year was the first time that I had carved a pumpkin.

This year, I have convinced Brad to either get home early, so that we can go to the gym first and then be home for the trick-or-treating OR let me pass out candy to the kiddos and then go to the gym. I think we are trying for the first of the two since trick-or-treating starts at 6:00 pm! I have my candy and Halloween bowl all ready and I have a pretty good mix of chocolate and candies.

We even got Belle a costume!

Hopefully, I will have some cute pictures from tonight! We might even go over to our new neighborhood (where our house is ALMOST built!) and check out all of the trick-or-treating over there, since there are TONS of kids over there! (and we may just like being "in" our new house!!)

Unfortunately, I was sick Halloween 2010, but I was supposed to be a "Convict" and my friend Beth was a "Cop!" Now that would have been fun :(
