Recently, I found this "link up" on Stephanie's blog BEAUtiful mess. She is hosting a link up with Katie on Keep Calm and Carry On's blog. I adore both of their blogs. A little bit of everything!
As everyone in my family (and friends) know...I am a lover of Pinterest. At this point, who isn't?!? The hubs jokingly made fun of me for a while about my Pinterest addiction, but once he started seeing all of the "fruits of my labor," he changed his mind (mostly after all of the dips/appetizers/dinners/breads/desserts I made). My cooking is always given a "yum!" and my DIY's have been deemed "cute."
Here's the thing. I actually USE Pinterest. I know waaaay too many people that just "pin to their hearts content." I'm a doer. I pin things I will actually use and/or make! Why research the whole Internet when I can just jump on Pinterest?
Anywho...here's one of the projects I have been working on this week!
The DIY Knotted Headband
(found on Pinterest), but originally from Love Stitched (here)!
It is easy-peasy and SO cute! I made one and then got slightly obsessive about them. I made 5 of them last night in less than an hour (I know, sad...but! my hubby is in China on business, so I am keeping myself busy on a budget). Once you get the hang of it, they can be put together very quickly! I love them!
- The yellow one was the first one I made. I made it a center knot. I love the bright yellow in my dark hair!
- Next I made an Iowa State headband and a Clemson headband. Since we're a house divided, I had to make both.
- The last headband I made I changed it slightly to make my own version. After tying the celtic-ish knot, I just put an extra knot on each end to a) keep them together and b) to create more "knotting,"
The best part about this project?? NO SEWING! You will need:
- old t-shirts
- glue gun
- fabric scissors

I'm pretty much obsessed with wearing ANYTHING on my head so this is DEFINITELY something I have to try!! Love this! And I bet their SO comfy!!

I love this idea! Props to you 2!! You will have to try this! It was SO easy and YES! it is super comfy!! The adjustable straps make it perfect! Yep, I'll be at round 2 :)
