Sometime this summer, Mom and Dad Bishop asked all the "kiddos" (who are all married now) if instead of buying them presents for their 35 ANNIVERSARY, we could spend a weekend with them. All of us wives got together, figured out a weekend we were all available, and planned the anniversary/family weekend for Labor Day Weekend.
Luckily, August 31st was both Gene's and my birthdays! All of the family went to Granite City for dinner. Yuuuum!
Saturday, the girls (Mom B, Beth, me, and Abby) started out the day by going to the circus. It was slightly cloudy and rainy, so the boys stayed home to watch football ~ it's opening season anyways! After the circus, all of us relaxed and watched the big games: Iowa State game first, then the Clemson game. 2 wins for us!! Iowa State and Clemson! Woot woot!! We ate dinner at Mom and Dad's and just relaxed and lounged around.
Sunday, we spent most of the day around the pool, watching the air show, and enjoying family time. Sunday night was the always memorable Azteca! After that and a few margaritas, we went mini-golfing! Now that was fun!
Monday, most of us slept in, laid around the pool, and then left to drive back home whenever we got packed up. Overall, a good, family weekend!!
