How I Feel: I feel like things changed this week. Being pregnant has not been as fun, but I still do enjoy it 90% of the time. I've had some back pain this week, some more swelling in my feet (but thankfully a visit to the chiropractor fixed that), and a lot of cramping in my lower abdomen.
- Stretch marks: none
- Belly button: popped out, mostly on the left side
- Other: pelvis aches, Braxton hicks, cramping, lower back aches and pain
Food Aversions: fish (except shrimp)
Movement: Little man is still moving about the same I am mostly feeling knees at the top of my tummy and feet on my right ribs and side. Thankfully, little man is moving at regular intervals and I'm feeling much better about my fluid levels because of it.
Sleep: I seem to be sleeping better at night this week. I had to cut out my naps though, which helped but kind of stinks. Oh well. I still sleep lightly until I have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and then after that I am knocked out.
Best Moment This Week: my friend Amy's party at our house. I threw my friend a "Goodbye Amy's Uterus" party and we had a Mexican taco/nacho bar and cake. It was delish and we loved all the girl time.
Looking Forward to: uuum, Baby C coming?!
What I Miss: loving every second of my pregnancy. These cramps though...
Diet: eating clean 80/20. Now that I'm at the end of my pregnancy, I'm having a little harder time maintaining my self control. Luckily, we don't keep sugar in the house so that helps! I'm trying to keep my protein intake up to help with strength and energy during labor. I'm also trying to get plenty of antioxidants and vitamins from fruits and veggies. The more color on my plate the better!
Exercise: I'm still working out, but I have backed off on the running. I think I may have been dehydrated and tired Monday morning because I was having some very sporadic but short contractions during my workout. I finished pretty quickly and got home to lay down and drink some water. They lasted about three hours, but were never time-able. I did talk to the nurse at my midwives office and she confirmed my suspicions. She suggested that it could have been dehydration and after I thought about it, it made sense!
Tuesday went much better after I made sure I drank plenty of water on Tuesday. I didn't run just to be safe, but I did do cardio on the elliptical and the stair stepper. I am still using the Short Cut to Shred program and have only modified the program by lessening how much weight I am lifting. So far, so good!
What's Happening This Week: Sunday was my friends "uterus" party at our house. I love having the girls over and I love planning a party, so we had a great time! Monday we went to the Waterloo Bucks baseball game since it was Brad's facilities night. We had fun, but Brad and I both don't love baseball. We went for Dayton's sake. Dayton watched some of the game, but was more interested in the "deere!" (the Buck mascot). It was pretty cute. Tuesday we had a daycare interview for babe. The rest of the week is free and clear. No plans until this babe decides to come. Pending finding a babysitter and baby, we may go out Friday night for dinner and movie one last time.
