- heart beat: 138 bpm
- mama measuring: 38 cm
- dilated 1.5 cm
- baby is head down
Gender: boy!
Weight Gain: 33 pounds
How I Feel: I'm feeling much better this week. All of the water weight that I retained last week has gone away and the swelling in my ankles and feet are gone. Sitting (last week) is definitely not my thing. I'm a little less nauseous this week, which is nice! I've had a few contractions, but nothing time-able or consistent. The Braxton hicks contractions are getting more frequent and more intense.
- Stretch marks: none
- Belly button: popped out, mostly on the left side
- Other: varicose veins (almost gone), pelvis aches, Braxton hicks, lower back aches and pain
Food Aversions: fish (except shrimp)
Movement: Little man is most active after I eat something and from 7:30-11 pm. Most of the movement is at the top of my belly where his knees and feet are. He likes to kick and move his little legs quite a bit. My right rib are starting to get pretty sore! When he does move his head around, it's pretty uncomfortable down there.
Sleep: I'm sleeping about the same as last week. I fall asleep fast, but sleep lightly until I get up to go to the bathroom. After that, I fall asleep and sleep hard the rest of the night. Some nights I get up two to three times to go to the bathroom. I'm ready for that to be over.
Best Moment This Week: the three day weekend and the holiday! Happy 4th of July!
Looking Forward to: my mini-baby shower this Thursday with my girls.
What I Miss: my back not being sore and wearing out so easily
Diet: Now that I' back at home, eating clean is much easier. Still eating clean 80/20. I have cut out all processed sugar throughout the week and enjoy my cheat meal and treat on Saturday nights. Although, I did have two treat nights since it was a three day weekend!
Exercise: Working out has been better this week, but I am having more Braxton hicks contractions while running than normal. My mid-wife said they are happy that I'm still working out and to listen to my body. If it hurts, stop. That's pretty easy. Still working through the Short Cut to Shred workout.
What's Happening This Week: Sunday we spent the holiday cooking out, playing with sparklers, and watching the fireworks. It was low key and perfect. Monday was July 4th and we were busy, busy (all weekend). The hubs finished up the new play set and Dayton absolutely loved it. He also put together the crib, dresser, and we started the decor for the baby room. Finally. We made so much progress over the weekend and this week that I'm finally feeling ready for this baby! Thursday night is my mini baby shower and Friday the hubs and I have a date.
To keep Dayton's name on the daycare schedule (so that we can drop him off if need be when it's baby time), I'm taking him to daycare for two hours in the morning two or three days a week. This week it was three days so that he could be there for water day. Dayton likes going to "school" to see his friends and I enjoy the free time to run errands and work on the baby room. I have to admit, I don't love bringing him though. I feel a little guilty. I like having him home with me and I'm soaking up our one-on-one time before we become a family of four. I also like helping my little guy through the toddler stage and not leaving that up to daycare. Confession.
