Bumpdate ~ Week 25

Week 25- Second Trimester
  • Baby is the size of an : acorn squash
  • Weight : 1.46 lb.  |  13.62 in.
  • Baby's primitive memory is beginning to develop, which means music and voices will leave an impression on his brain. Baby's spine is more developed and his blood vessels are developing in his lungs and nostrils. Baby's skin is more opaque than transparent now too. The most prominent part of baby's brain at this point is the cerebral cortex, which is responsible for emotions, reasoning, and the ability to solve problems.

Gender: boy!

Weight Gain: 15 pounds

How I Feel: I'm feeling a little better after that horrible cold. I'm still pretty stuffed up, but now that Dayton is better I moved the oil diffuser in my room. The blend of lemon, thieves, and purification works wonders on sinus infections, colds, and coughs. It always clears Dayton up within days. I love it!! I've noticed a difference, especially in the mornings, after I diffuse in our room at night. Finally.
  • Stretch marks: none
  • Belly button: popped out
  • Other: nothing that I can think of
Cravings: not really anything that I can think of

Food Aversions: fish

Movement: little man is active, but I feel like he's slowed down a bit. His movements are more "strong" now though, which is kind of fun to see my belly start to move around. I'm sure the kids in my class will start noticing soon!

Sleep: sleeping great

Best Moment This Week: planning Dayton's party. I love party planning. I love the details, the final product, the memories, and the family time. I always do too much and I always stress myself out over it, but it's always worth it in the end.

Looking Forward to: the party!

What I Miss: nothing too much

Diet: Still eating clean 80/20. I have become obsessed with my morning green protein shake. My favorite right now is almond milk, spinach, vanilla protein powder, PB2, and a banana. A-mazing.

Exercise: I'm still working out 5 mornings a week using the short cut to shred program. I'm not going to lie, it's hard getting up in the mornings. I'm definitely looking forward to summer! I'm getting through it though. I've decided to work out 5 week days and one weekend day so that I can have a full rest day on Sunday.

What's Happening This Week: This week has been a little crazy! My co-worker Krista had her baby very early Monday morning. Monday night will be filled with errands, party prep, and making Krista's new little boy a few onsies. Tuesday is Dayton's 2 year photos with Michelle Stricker at Stricker Photography. Man, I love her!! I'm so excited! Hopefully, Dayton will cooperate. He's not the fondest of taking pictures. After that my team is going to see Krista and her new baby, Kasen! I can't wait!! Wednesday through Friday is errands and party prep. I'm getting so excited for Dayton's big tractor party on Saturday!!
