It's no secret that this lady loves her pool time. As in, I'm completely obsessed with it and cannot live without it, the sun, and super hot weather. Since I'm a teacher, a typical summer for me looked like this (previous to having a baby) - sleep till 7:30 or 8 am, go to the gym, go to the pool and read for as many hours as possible, go to the gym with the hubs after he gets off work, relax at night. The end. Laying by the pool for 4-5 hours in the super hot, humid weather of the Carolinas reading my Kindle was a typical day for me. I love it. I need the sun for my mental health. It's true.
Last summer, I had to work. Boo. So I didn't get too much pool time. That was depressing. This summer, I have a baby and I am not about to let that stop me from being outside in the sun! When the babe naps, I lay out on the deck. When we can, we go to the city pool (since there are basically no neighborhood pools up here in CF). On the weekends, we head down to Momma B's house and enjoy some family and pool time there! Last weekend was our first weekend at the pool this summer. It also happened to be Dayton's first time at the pool! He didn't do too bad. He slept a lot, got his legs dipped in the pool, and laid on the float with Grandpa. I'd say it was a pretty good first pool experience! His awesome new baby float will be here on Monday! Can't wait! We got a family pool pass this year, so I'm sure Day and I will be laying by the pool quite a bit this summer. Good thing he's an easy baby!!
