10 Things I Live For

Summer ~ I love summer. (I reeaally like fall, but summer is my all-time favorite season.) I love the warm sun (almost more than anything else), I love bathing suits, shorts, tank tops, sandals, the beach, the sun, green grass, and the warmth. How can you not love summer? I think of grilling, holiday parties, playing outside, going to the pool, running in the morning when it's cooler, basking in the sun, getting a dark tan, and all of the other glorious things about summer. I am definitely a happier person in the summer. To me, summer means more smiles and more happiness.

Being a Good Wife ~Being a wife was something I always wanted. Now that I am a wife, one of my deepest desires is to be a "Good Wife." Proverbs 31:10-12 ~ 10) A good wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. 11) The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. 12) She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life." I have read those verses over and over. I want to be the kind of wife that brings my husband good...all the days of my life.

Laughter ~ I love to laugh. I especially love it when the hubs and I are silly and we laugh so hard that we/I cry. My hubby sure does crack me up! I love to hear other people laugh. I love being around people who make me laugh. Every now and then, I can get people to laugh too. Laughing can turn just about anything around.

Making a Difference ~ One of the things I love most about my life is being a teacher. I love kids and I love watching them grow each year. I'm the teacher that cries at the end of the year when my kids "graduate." I live to make a difference in each and every kiddos life that I can. I watch those little ones walk into my room, invest my whole heart in them, and then hug them goodbye as they continue onto the next grade. Yes, I know I will see them in the hallways next year, but they all stay in my heart. 

Holding Hands and Cuddles ~  There is nothing better than being wrapped up in my man's arms. I'm safe, warm, and loved when his big strong arms are around me. As of right now, nothing can beat that feeling. I love that my hubs holds my hand - all the time. I love that he reaches for my hand. I love that every night he pulls me into his arms. I live for cuddling.

Shining a Light ~ On of my greatest purposes on this earth (and my husband's) is to shine Jesus' light. I know I am not, by any means, perfect and I never will be. I make mistakes each and every day. However, I know that God put us on this earth to show others His deep and merciful love. I am blessed to be called a Child of God. I live for my Lord and Savior.  

Making Memories and Taking Pictures ~  If you know me, you know I take pictures...of everything. The hubs thinks it can be a bit excessive, he may have a point every now and then, but I don't see him complaining when we look back over all of our pictures! I love making memories with our family, with each other, and with our friends. I want to be able to look back on all of those memories. Those memories are captured for forever in pictures!

Making a Home for our Future ~ Being a wife is awesome. I can finally "prepare" our home for our future. Cleaning, organizing, decorating, planning...all of those things are what is fun about being a wife. I take a lot of pride in our home being neat, clean, and welcoming. I want our home to be a place where people gather, a place where kiddos run around, and a place that mu husband is happy to come home to.

Spending Time with Family ~ Family is so incredibly important to me. Moving away from my family was and still is really hard. It hit me the most when I missed my Dad's birthday last September. My sister sent me a picture of him with his balloons. He was on the phone with me. *tears* It's been hard to be away from them on even the little holidays (Thanksgiving, Easter, Mother's and Father's Day), but I am so incredibly thankful for the wonderful family that I have gained! My in-laws are amazing and I value each and every time we see them. Family is everything. 

Being Happy ~ I live for and believe in being "Happy." I'm a pretty positive person and I try to find the good in every situation. Brad and I both have been through so much the past 2 years, but throughout it all we have been happy. God is God and God is always good.
