This has been one rough winter for us in the Bishop house. It started in September when Dayton got an ear infection, then pneumonia, then fevers, then the flu, etc. The hubs and I got hit with the flu a few days before Thanksgiving, but other than that both of us have been healthy. Poor Dayton though. 2015 kept on with the sickness for him. Colds, fevers, fifths disease, possible RSV, and then another ear infection. That poor little guy! He is such a trooper though. Even through all of his sick days, he's been a happy little guy.

| Fifths disease sucks. (No makeup, no shower, sorry!) |
This time when the flu hit again, it was the hubs and I. Brad got sick on Sunday afternoon. He was in bed by 4 pm. I got up Monday thinking I was okay, went to the gym, worked out (even though my stomach was kind of hurting), got home and fell apart. I couldn't eat breakfast. I know I'm sick when I can't eat breakfast, Ugh.
The hubs and I got Dayton to daycare and then stayed home sick Monday and Tuesday. Brad was able to use peppermint essential oils to help his stomach. I can't use peppermint because I'm nursing and it could lower my supply. Boo. Brad went back to work on Wednesday and so did I even though I was still feeling crummy. I went home at 3 pm from work on Wednesday (an hour early) and went straight back to bed. The hubs was a huge help and took care of Dayton all Wednesday night. Thursday I had to stay home sick. Thursday was probably the worst day for me. I considered going to the hospital Thursday morning because I hadn't eaten in so long, couldn't keep anything down, was shaking, dizzy, and felt reeeaaallly bad. I stuck it out and got some water in me though. Dehydration maybe?? I really think that nursing while being sick just prolongs the sickness, but I had to nurse to keep my supply going.

I went back to work on Friday feeling about 50%. I made it through, we packed up when I got home and then hit the road for Spring Break. At least Brad was better, Dayton hadn't gotten sick at all, and I was on the mend. We were all so thankful for Spring Break!!
