A Picture with Santa '14

Since this is Dayton's first Christmas season, we had to get a picture with Santa. I know he doesn't remember any of this stuff, but we do! I was curious how he would react to Santa, but we had to try. Our neighbors and friends called to ask if we wanted to go to see Santa on downtown Main Street with our town's Holiday Hoopla. It was freezing out, but we decided to get out there anyways. We had to stand in line to see Santa for about 30 minutes, but we had bundled the kiddos up pretty well. We also left them in their car seats so that they would be nice and cozy.

There was plenty of things to watch while we waited in line; the Grinch, buddy the elf, the Iowa dairy princess, Elsa, and a musical light show around Santa's workshop! Us adults drank coffee and enjoyed hanging out. When we finally got up to Santa's workshop we got the kiddos out of their car seats. At some point, Dayton lost a sock. Nice. It was a pretty rushed Santa visit because we knew so many people were behind us. I kept looking for Dayton's sock, with no luck. I said, "Oh my stars, Dayton's sock is missing." Brad, "He's fine." Haha men! Dayton didn't cry at seeing Santa, but he wasn't happy either. He just stared at him! We had a good time, but maybe next year we'll get some smiles out of Dayton with Santa!

The no sock thing kills me. Goo thing they had heaters in Santa's workshop!
