Happy 29th Birthday Brad!!

If you know Brad, then you know his "birthday" starts February 1st. Ever since we met, as soon as February hit all I here is... "It's my birthday!"...even though his birthday is not until the 27th! It's kinda cute. :)

This year, Brad's birthday fell on a Wednesday. This wifey planned way ahead and bought his birthday present at the beginning of February. Then I had to explain to him that he couldn't look too closely at the bank account because he would know what it was. He was very good and didn't look!

Finally Wednesday, the 27th came. Brad woke up to notes all over the house saying "Happy Birthday!" on the bathroom mirror, on the love note chalkboard, on his whiteboard, and a card with his "take to work" birthday cake.

I had asked Brad what kind of cake he wanted to bring to work and had assumed he would say, "yellow cake with chocolate frosting" because it's his favorite. Nope! I asked about my triple chocolate cake and a few others. Nope, he wanted something new. So, I looked up my Dessert board on Pinterest and started naming off cakes. Cookies and Cream Cake...that was the winner! The recipe was pretty easy and it turned out so yummy!! I made up my own cake decorations using left-over Oreos and whip cream. Yummo!

When Brad and I got home from work, it was present time! Best Wife Ever award goes to...*drum roll*...ME! Brad got a DeWalt Stand for his Miter Saw.

 (Brad had bought a DeWalt 12' Miter Saw on Black Friday...so this stand was perfect!...and it's a tool!)

Oh yea, and Brad also bought himself a gift for his birthday...a new Snow Blower!! Much needed. Well done hubs.

On Friday night of that week, we went to Sakura - Japanese Hibachi and Sushi House to celebrate Brad's birthday with some of our friends: Ryan & Kate and Amanda & Shawn. We had a delicious dinner, some Saki bombs (thanks to Ryan), and then went to Voodoo for a few drinks. Overall, great birthday week/weekend!
