Colton - Weeks 9&10

Sweet little bug (that's what mama calls you most of the time), you're getting so big and starting to show more personality. Every time a little more of you comes out, we love you more and more. I can't believe you're already ten weeks old. Look at you sitting up! You know how I get you to look at the camera? Surprisingly, your big brother is a big help for this. (At least in between his tantrums, wink.) Most of the time we can get you to smile for us, but you were just really intent on looking at your brother. P.S. - Listening to your brother talk to you is pretty funny and absolutely adorable.

9 and 10 weeks update:

Mommy Update - Mama is doing great. All back to normal with 10 pounds to lose. I do fit in all of my pre baby clothes, so that makes me pretty happy.

Nursing/Eating - Little man is nursing on a 2.5 hour schedule. He eats the most in the mornings and late afternoon to evening. He doesn't eat a lot in the mid-morning and lunch time feeding. He eats well, just not near as much as his brother.

Schedule -

  • 8 am - wake up and nurse
  • 10:30 am - nurse
  • 11-12:30 pm - nap
  • 1 pm - nurse + nap
  • 3 pm - nurse
  • 4:30-5:30 pm - nap
  • 5:30 pm - nurse
  • 7-8 pm - nap
  • 8 pm - nurse
  • 10 pm - nurse to sleep

Sleep - 9 weeks - Little man is sleeping from 10 pm when I put him to bed until 7-8 am when he wakes up. He also naps throughout the day pretty regularly.

10 weeks sleep - Colton is sleeping 10 hours at night! It is glorious.

Size - Colton is in 0-3 month clothes and size 2 diapers.

Activity - Bug is playing on his mat and trying to grab at things hanging above him. He hasn't quite grabbed anything yet, but he does swat the rings every now and then. Colton smailes all of the time at us and he has the biggest smiles for his mama. Oh it melts my heart! He is the sweetest!

Small Moments - One of the things I love the most is watching my two babes interact. Dayton loves his baby brother and watching him crawl into the play mat to "snuggle" with his brother is the sweetest thing. When Colton cries, Dayton is on top of it. He talks to him, tell him it's okay, tries to give him his binky, sings to him, reads to him, and snuggles him. I know it won't always be like this, so I'm going to enjoy every bit of it that I can.
