The Brunner's Come to Iowa

Mom and dad have come to Iowa in October a few times and this year my sister, Jaimie, was able to come as well! We ha the whole fam here for about a week. My family arrived on Friday night and almost as soon as they got here, the hubs and my dad took off to drive down to camp for a weekend of hunting. Mom, Jaimie, Dayton and I laid low most of the weekend. We slept in, ran a few errands, caught up, and made some yummy dinners at home. The boys came back Sunday night. I'm pretty sure my dad had a great time. It had been a while since he had been hunting, so I'm glad that Brad and my dad were able to get down to camp.

I did have to work Monday through Wednesday, but I did take my two personal days on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, we took Dayton to the pumpkin patch. It was so much fun! The weather was gorgeous and there was a lot to see and do there. Jaimie and I took Dayton to this farm over the summer for strawberry picking, so we knew he would have fun.

While we were at the pumpkin patch we looked at the animals, jumped on the giant air bubble, watched the "pumkinator" shoot pumpkins, and picked out plenty of pumpkins to take home. We had a great time and I'm already looking forward to going back next year!

On Friday, Brad had made plans to meet us at the John Deere Museum. My dad grew up on a farm, so Deere is pretty near and dear. I was excited to be able to bring my dad to something I knew he would love. Deere did a great job with the museum. I've been twice now and have enjoyed it each time. It's fun to be able to learn more about the company that Brad works for and a company that means so much to the Brunner side of the family. Pretty sure my dad was in tractor heaven. Dayton didn't seem to mind all of the tractors either.

Thank you for coming to visit us mom, dad, and Jaimie. We loved having you!!
