Bow Hunting

This year, both the hubs and I will be hunting. The first season of the year is bow. The hubs got me a bow earlier this year and I've been practicing ever since. One shot and I was addicted. A few weeks after I got my bow, the hubs got a new one too. We'll be hunting on one of our friend's (and neighbor) land down in southern Iowa. We're two weeks away from opening weekend!

Since our friend is a neighbor and he has a field and woods behind his house, we like to head down there at night and practice shooting our bows. Dayton is usually with us, so while one of us is shooting the other has Dayton in the swing which is far away and behind where we are practicing. I've been shooting for a few weeks and so far I'm not too shabby! We definitely have a new hobby.

That picture of the arrows on the top right? Yeah, that bulls eye is mine and the arrow on the right is the hubs. We were "competing" shot for shot. This girl won that round. Woohoo!
