We're still here...

Oh hey blog land...it's been a while! Like 3 months a while. Whoops! To state the obvious, blogging has been the last thing on my list at this point in time. Other things like teaching full time, being a mama, being a wife, and all the other craziness of our busy lives has kind of taken over most of my time.

I am home with my sick lil' bit today and he's napping, so I'm going to start working on catching up on this little blog of mine. I'm going to post the most recent stuff worst and then work my way backwards. Just an fyi for those family members and friends that keep on our lives through our blog!

So, the latest? Sickness has struck the Bishop household again. My poor baby. Last week, Dayton was sent home from daycare on Wednesday around 11:30 am with a 100.5 fever. He was acting fine, but since his daycare s very strict about sickness he had to go home. This also meant he had to be home on Thursday. Ugh. Brad picked him up on Wednesday and I stayed home with him on Thursday. Little man and I had a fun day just hanging out at the house and cuddling. He acted fine Friday and Saturday, but Saturday night his cough started again. We were at the grandparents over the weekend, and as we drove home on Sunday it was clear that Dayton was not feeling well. Sunday night he spiked another fever and his cough was out of control.

Brad stayed home with the babe on Monday and took him to the doctor. What did he have this time you ask? Fifth disease or slapped cheek. Yep, apparently there's a major outbreak of it right now in our area. Symptoms? Mild fever, cold symptoms then a few days later a rash breaks out on the face. It looks like his cheeks have been slapped. In a few days his fever will go away and the rash will move down to his arms and legs. It's fairly harmless. Poor baby is pretty miserable though.

This mama just wants her baby to feel better. Hopefully, that will happen soon. Not gonna lie, I do love being home with my cuddly little boy.
