From Babies to Big People

At our wedding, I had frames that contained pictures of Brad and I as we grew up. In each frame, there were 6 picture slots. Over the summer, I asked Brad's mom to find 6 pictures of him growing up and I did the same at home with my mom.

I think I originally got the idea off of Pinterest (of course), but I thought it was a cute idea to include during our big day. Besides, family and friends like seeing what we both looked like when we were little and throughout our "awkward" years. I've included them in this post, because 1) they're kind of fun to look at and 2) if anyone at the wedding did not make it back to see them (because of non-stop dancing, i.e. me), then they can see them now!

To make the pictures a little more "elegant" and not "homemade," I edited each picture to be black and white. I also included our names in the middle of the frames in the same font that was used on all of our invitations and programs (I made all of those myself too!).

Here is how they looked on the tables...

Here is a little close-up peek at Brad and I growing up! I made this collage using a photo editor online.

Side note: When I was young, I had "dirty blond" hair. However, as I grew older my hair darkened. When I was a sophomore in High school, I started dying my hair blond...really blond. I kept it blond from my sophomore year in High school all the way until a year after I graduated College (from 2002-2009!). Then I decided it was time to get back to my original color...which had been hidden for quite some time. I found some pictures of myself with dark hair and brought it to the girl who does my hair. We got it as close as we could and it's finally grown out. So, despite all of the blond pictures, I am in fact a brunette - nice and dark!

Side note 2: I mentioned a while ago, when Brad and I were still dating, what he thought about me going blond. Quote, "Absolutely not. I do not like blond hair. I like long, straight, dark hair." That was that! Good thing he found me!! ;)
